1. Introduction

Ebena Agro Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Feed Estimator app for Android and Windows handles your information. Feed Estimator is a livestock feed formulation and farm records tool that works entirely offline and does not require an account.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

Everything you enter is kept in a database on the device you use (SQLite). We never receive a copy. It can include:

Feeds and ingredients

· Feed recipes, their ingredients, quantities, costs and nutrient analysis
· Ingredients you add, prices, price history and feed stock

Farm records

· Pens, batches, head counts, weights, feedings and feed use
· Health events and treatments, breeding, production (eggs, milk, weight) and tasks
· Purchases, sales and expenses, and the suppliers you add, including any phone numbers and email addresses you enter for them

Farm profile and preferences

· Your farm’s name and location if you enter them, experience level and main livestock
· Language, currency, display and reminder settings

Where it is kept

· Android: in the app’s private storage, which other apps cannot read.
· Windows: in a databases folder inside your Documents folder. If you have set Windows or OneDrive to back up your Documents folder, a copy may be kept in your own OneDrive account under your OneDrive settings; we have no access to it.
· Each device keeps its own records. Nothing is copied between your devices unless you move a backup yourself.

We do not collect:

✗ Personal identification (your name, email or phone number); supplier details you enter stay on your device
✗ Location data, advertising IDs or contacts
✗ Advertising profiles or behaviour-based ad targeting
✗ Photos, files you have not chosen, or browsing history

3. What Leaves Your Device

Feed Estimator works offline. Your records leave your device only in these cases:

· Crash reports, only if you turn them on. They are off by default. If you agree when the app first opens, or later turn on Settings › Privacy & Data › Crash Reporting, the app sends anonymous technical reports when it crashes or meets an error: the error and where in the app it happened, the app version, your device model and operating system, and performance timings for a sample of sessions. They are sent to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), which processes them on our behalf, and contain no personal data, feed recipes, prices or farm records. Sentry may process them outside Nigeria, for example in the United States; we send them only with your consent, which is the legal basis for this processing under the NDPA and the GDPR. You can turn them off at any time in the same place.
· What you choose to send. A PDF report, export or backup you share or save elsewhere; a call, WhatsApp message or email you start to a supplier; or our website when you open it from the app. These go where you send them.
· Downloads and updates come through Google Play or the Microsoft Store (or our Windows installer), under those stores’ own privacy policies.

4. Backups, Encryption and Export

· Encrypted backups. When you export a backup, the app asks for a passphrase and encrypts the whole file with AES-256-GCM. The key is made from your passphrase with PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 (600,000 rounds and a random salt), and only the encrypted file is written. We never see your passphrase and cannot recover it: if it is forgotten, that backup cannot be opened, so keep it somewhere safe.
· Plain backups. You can choose a backup without a passphrase instead. Anyone who gets that file can read it, so keep it as carefully as you would the farm’s paperwork.
· Where backups go. On Android they are kept in the app’s storage until you share or save them elsewhere; on Windows they are saved in your Documents folder. The newest three are kept.
· Safety copies. Before a restore replaces the records on a device, the app first saves a copy of them beside its database, so nothing replaced is lost. This copy is not encrypted, because it stays in the same place as the database itself; the newest three are kept.
· Reports and exports. PDF feed reports and formulator exports are made on your device.

Ebena Agro Ltd receives no copy of any backup or export.

5. Your Rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, the GDPR (EU), the CCPA (California) and similar laws, you have full rights over your data. Because it stays on your device, you exercise them directly in the app:

Access

View all your feeds, ingredients and farm records in the app at any time.

Correct

Edit any record, ingredient or setting at any time.

Delete

Delete or archive single records, or everything via Settings → Data Management → Delete All Data.

Export

Export PDF reports and backups, and import a backup on another device.

Withdraw consent

Turn crash reports off via Settings → Privacy & Data → Crash Reporting, or withdraw all consent with Data Collection Consent.

Remove completely

Android: uninstalling removes the app’s data. Windows: your records stay in Documents\databases after uninstalling, so a reinstall finds them; use Delete All Data first, or delete that folder and any backup files, to remove them.

If you have a concern about how your data is handled, contact us first (section 10). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), or with the data protection authority where you live.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share your data with anyone:

✗ Third-party companies or advertisers
✗ Personal data sales or ad-targeting networks
✗ Cloud storage providers
✗ Government agencies (unless legally compelled)

If you share a PDF report or backup (by email or another app), that is under your control. If you turn crash reports on, Sentry processes them for us as described in section 3.

7. App Permissions

Android

Internet — only to send crash reports if you turned them on, and to open links you tap; your records stay on the device.
Notifications — for the reminders and alerts you set (tasks, vaccinations, low feed stock). You can refuse or turn them off in Android settings.
Run at startup — to put your reminders back after the phone restarts.

Windows

Internet — the same as on Android: crash reports if you turned them on, and links you open.
Files — the app keeps its database and backups in your Documents folder (see section 2), and opens only the files you pick when you import a backup.

Permissions are asked for only when needed.

8. Children’s Privacy

Feed Estimator is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the app, you can clear all data via Settings → Data Management → Delete All Data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the app gains new features, and change the effective date above. Significant changes will be communicated within the app. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
